Welcome to Fridge to Frame. This Privacy Policy explains how Forward Alpha LLC ("we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, shares, and protects information when you use our mobile application ("App").

By using Fridge to Frame, you agree to the practices described in this Privacy Policy.

1. Information We Collect

1.1 Information You Provide:

  • Account Information: Email address, display name, and authentication credentials (including Apple Sign In)
  • Uploaded Images: Children's drawings and artwork you upload for transformation
  • Transformation History: Records of transformations you create, including timestamps and settings
  • Subscription Data: Payment information and subscription status (processed via Apple App Store and RevenueCat)

Important Note About Text Descriptions:

Optional text descriptions you provide are sent to Google Gemini API for image transformation but are NOT stored in our database.

We strongly recommend NOT including personal information in descriptions.

1.2 Automatically Collected Information:

  • Device Information: Device type, operating system version, app version
  • Usage Analytics: App feature usage, crash reports, performance metrics (via Firebase Analytics)
  • Technical Data: IP address, device identifiers (for authentication and security)

2. How We Use Your Information

We use collected information to:

  • Provide Core Services: Process image transformations using AI technology
  • Manage Accounts: Create, maintain, and authenticate user accounts
  • Handle Subscriptions: Process payments and manage subscription tiers
  • Improve the App: Analyze usage patterns to enhance features and performance
  • Provide Support: Respond to your questions and troubleshoot issues
  • Ensure Security: Detect and prevent fraud, abuse, and technical issues
  • Send Notifications: Deliver important updates about the App and your account

3. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services to operate the App:

Important: Google Gemini processes your images for transformation but does not store them permanently. Text descriptions are discarded immediately after processing.

4. Data Storage and Security

4.1 Where Your Data is Stored:

  • Local Storage: Free tier users (3 transformations/month) store transformations only on their device
  • Cloud Storage: Paid subscribers (Starter, Creator, and Unlimited plans) can sync to Firebase Cloud Storage (Google Cloud servers)
  • Credit Purchases: One-time credit purchases store transformations locally unless combined with a subscription
  • Account Data: Stored securely in Firebase Firestore (encrypted at rest)

4.2 Security Measures:

  • All data transmission uses HTTPS encryption
  • Firebase Authentication protects account access
  • Images are resized before transmission to minimize data exposure
  • Regular security audits and updates

Note: While we implement industry-standard security measures, no system is 100% secure. You use the App at your own risk.

5. Data Sharing and Disclosure

We do NOT sell your personal data to third parties.

We may share information in the following circumstances:

  • With Your Consent: When you explicitly authorize sharing
  • Service Providers: With third-party services listed above (Google, Firebase, RevenueCat) to operate the App
  • Legal Requirements: If required by law, court order, or government request
  • Business Transfers: In connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets
  • Safety and Protection: To protect our rights, users' safety, or prevent illegal activity

6. Data Retention

  • Active Accounts: Data retained as long as your account is active
  • Deleted Accounts: Personal data deleted within 30 days (purchase history retained for tax/legal compliance)
  • Local Data: Remains on your device until you manually delete the app
  • Analytics Data: Aggregate usage data retained for up to 14 months

7. Your Rights and Choices

You Have the Right To:

  • Access Your Data: Request a copy of personal information we hold
  • Update Information: Modify your account details in the app settings
  • Delete Transformations: Remove individual transformations from your account
  • Delete Your Account: Permanently remove your account and associated data
  • Opt-Out of Analytics: Disable analytics tracking in device settings
  • Withdraw Consent: Stop using the App at any time

8. Children's Privacy

Fridge to Frame is designed for family use and rated 4+ in the App Store. The App is intended to transform children's artwork, not to collect personal information from children.

Parental Guidance: We recommend parents create accounts and supervise children's use of the App. Parents should ensure children do not include personal information in optional text descriptions.

We comply with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) requirements:

  • Accounts require parental email for registration
  • We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13
  • No social features or user-to-user communication
  • No third-party advertising targeted at children

9. International Data Transfers

Your data may be transferred to and processed in countries outside your residence, including the United States. By using the App, you consent to the transfer of information to the U.S. and other countries where our service providers operate.

10. California Privacy Rights (CCPA)

If you are a California resident, you have additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA):

  • Right to know what personal information is collected
  • Right to know if personal information is sold or disclosed
  • Right to say no to the sale of personal information (we do not sell data)

12. Cookies and Tracking

The mobile app does not use cookies. However, third-party services (Firebase Analytics) may use similar tracking technologies. You can manage tracking preferences in your device settings.

13. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted in the App and on our website. Material changes will be notified via:

  • In-app notification
  • Email to your registered address

Continued use after changes indicates acceptance of the updated policy.
